Las Cruces & Doña Ana Crime Stoppers is a community program that relies on anonymous tips to solve crimes and to locate fugitives from justice. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who provide information that directly leads to a felony arrest. Information is provided anonymously through telephone, web or mobile app tips. No name or identification is given – in fact, if a tipster provides any of their personal information, the tip cannot be pursued.
Do not use Crime Stoppers to report crimes in progress
• Crime Stoppers pays rewards only for anonymous tips. Tipsters who identify themselves are not eligible for a reward.
• Crime Stoppers has sole discretion to decide the amount of reward paid for any particular tip, from zero to $1,000.00. The board reserves the right to increase rewards based on extenuating circumstances with majority vote approval.
• Crime Stoppers will pay rewards only for tips given directly to it. Any tip given to another source, such as law enforcement, will not be eligible for a Crime Stoppers reward.
• Crime Stoppers does not pay rewards to any person who has a legal duty to assist in the arrest of suspects and fugitives.
